Terms of Service

Welcome to FaithMate! By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application ("FaithMate," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FaithMate. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use the app with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Account Registration

To use FaithMate, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3. Virtual Items and Subscriptions

FaithMate offers virtual features and subscription plans. Please note:

• Membership Subscriptions: Optional paid plans that provide enhanced features. These are managed through your App Store or Google Play account.
• Nature of Items: All virtual items or badges are for decorative purposes within the app and have no spiritual efficacy or monetary value.
• Refund Policy: Payments for subscriptions are generally non-refundable, except as required by the platform providers (Apple/Google) or applicable law.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (custom prayers, shared posts, etc.). By submitting content, you grant FaithMate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and store it for the purpose of operating the app. You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive
• Violates intellectual property rights of others
• Contains personal information of third parties without their explicit consent
• Is considered spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack any part of the app
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app's servers or networks

6. AI Assistant Disclaimer

FaithMate's AI Assistant is designed to provide spiritual support, encouragement, and general guidance based on religious texts. However:

• It is not a substitute for professional mental health counseling, medical advice, or crisis intervention.
• If you are in an emergency or experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
• FaithMate does not guarantee the accuracy or spiritual suitability of AI-generated responses for your specific situation.

7. Subscription and Payments

Subscriptions to FaithMate are subject to the following:

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Billing: Payments will be charged to your chosen payment method at confirmation of purchase.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your local data will be permanently removed from your device, and this action is irreversible.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

FaithMate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific spiritual expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaithMate and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including spiritual or emotional distress.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
